about

Houston's own hasHBrown sets the bar extremely high amongst aspiring emcees and exemplifies true leadership with the anticipated October 25th, 2010 release of his latest project, RAP MAYOR. The mixtape features guest appearences by John Dew, Hip-Phonix, Hollywood Floss, Dustin Prestige, Kidd the Great, Thurogood Wordsmith, Upgrade, B Hardy, Dante Higgins, Damien Randle and DJ Gonz.

RAP MAYOR embodies the principles of innovative hip-hop with cutting-edge song concepts, respectable lyricism, and progressive production styles that aren't synonymous with the city of syrup.

With the exception of a few freestyles over industry instrumentals, Jett I. Masstyr handles the bulk of the project's original production and also features production by Chris Rockaway, Vango One, CJ, and Rob Viktum.

hasHBrown is more than your press-worthy upcoming artist. Within Houston, TX he's organized/promoted the concert series 'One Mic Houston' since 2008, produced as Jett I. Masstyr for countless buzzing artists (Delo, Dustin Prestige, Hollywood Floss, John Dew, & more) and continues to be the pulse of Houston's underground scene. Highly respected for his debut release, SOUNDS FROM THE BACK SEAT, hasHBrown is at the forefront of the forward thinking new-Houston presence in hip-hop.

hasHBrown, RAP MAYOR voted by the people and his peers is the coronation of one of the hardest working artist/producers in Houston. As RAP MAYOR, hasHBrown stays true to his emcee style of punchlines and passionate rhyme-saying, combined with a wide-array of unique soundscapes.
