Clarity [interlude]
As an artist I never want to put up a front to the listener that “everything is all good” or “life is perfect” or “I’m perfect” because I’m not and sometimes it really isn’t “all good”. I’m thankful for the gift of life but I know I’ve tested that gift one too many times with drinking and driving in the past so I felt the need to speak on it. I never deal with family deaths well, I don’t think anyone does but during those rough times I would turn to drinks to help ease the pain. That may not seem like the ‘best’ thing to do and I’ve learned that it doesn’t cure anything. This song is really a plea for help whenever I’ve felt helpless. I’m a religious person and ‘clarity’ speaks on the struggles of wanting to hold it together through adverse times. I hope y’all can relate. (prod. by Jett I. Masstyr)
