Dear Bartender
Thurogood Wordsmith (T.H.E.M. collective member) and I have a lot of collaborations together and they are always fun to do because of how real the content is. We really party and hangout in real life and that element always comes out when we link up. The concept was describing our drinks of choice as a female or with female attributes. The night we laid down the vocals we killed a bottle of grey goose which would explain the use of Montel Jordan’s ‘This Is How We Do It’. Jack Freeman (male vocalist out of Houston, TX) and I were in the studio a week before cracking jokes on how ‘This Is How We Do It’ has to be one of the best songs of all times, lol. If you know Chris Rockaway you know that he’s instant comedy no matter the situation or topic. Don’t ask me why he had the acapella version of Montel’s hits. This record was the most fun to record.
